"This
is first experience with the Logies. I definitely feel like a new comer
... and it's intimidating to be here in this room and out there with
people who've been in the industry here for so long.
"I care about what people think of me here in this industry and I understand why it would be a controversy.''
"I have a room in my house that I sit in with all my trophies and I

laughed to Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
"I
was pretty excited about this award because I've never gotten a TV
award. The only awards I could show were ones voted for by fans. Were never a big awards band, so I was pretty stoked."
"I literally just got out of a casino somewhere... nice club, good
food; it was all free! I saw all kinds of filth, lots of scandalous
things going on!" he joked.
"People are allowed to have a good time, it's allowed here ; it's just another excuse to party really hard!"
"She actually put a little Instagram on [her page], it was really sweet.
She was texting me all night, she was really excited, also my brother.
I've got a good family!" he smiled.
"The Voice is a show that I believe in. I'm happy to be a part of
exposing Australian singers and Australian songwriters to the world - I
love Australian music. I just want to thank Australia for being so good
to me."
Meanwhile Kyle and Jackie asked Joel about his embarrassing rejection
in last night’s first episode, after he was turned down as a mentor by
every contestant, despite his best efforts at buzzing in early!
“That’s how I roll baby, sometimes I hit, sometimes I miss and last night I missed!”
